The PodcastOne recently conducted a research study in collaboration with Edison Research to assess the impact of advertisement on consumer behavior related to major consumer brands. The study included a series of comprehensive studies focusing on the impacts of advertisement tests with regards to five major consumer brands of different products and services.
This study was the first of its kind related to podcast advertisement. The results of this study have demonstrated a significantly positive impact of podcast advertisement in the overall appeal of brands and the consumers’ purchasing behavior.

The study showed that more than 60% of the audience of podcast advertisements named a certain grocery brand. The percentage of the audience before the advertisement was a mere 7%. The number increased manifold as a result of podcast advertisement campaigns.
Similarly, the study also found that there was a sharp difference in the percentages of people aware of products before and after the study. As the result of the advertising campaign, these percentages increased by 47%, 37% and 24% for financial services item, automobile products, and garden accessories respectively. The study also demonstrated that in the case of an automobile aftermarket, the awareness among the listeners of podcast advertisements increased by 60% as compared to the percentage of people aware of the product before the study was conducted.
